Diagnostic Imaging

Digital x-rays are one form of diagnostic imaging that we are able to offer onsite. X-ray’s are used alone or in combination with other diagnostic tools to give us a clearer picture of what is happening inside your pet. X-rays give us a two dimensional image of your pet which can provide critical information about your pet’s body systems including their heart, thorax, abdomen, gastrointestinal system and bones.

Using the knowledge we get from x-rays, we are able to address your pet’s specific needs quickly. We offer digital x-rays on site and in most situations our veterinarians will be able to interpret the findings while you wait.

Ultrasound uses sounds waves to provide a non-invasive image of the thoracic and abdominal cavities. In some cases, abnormalities can be biopsied using ultrasound guidance in order to achieve a diagnosis. Ultrasound is painless and patients tolerate the procedure well. Just like with x-rays, the information gathered is used to come up with a treatment plan that best suits the needs of your pet.
