I have always seemed to have a lifelong calling to work with animals. I grew up in a family that took in any and all pets needing homes, from dogs and cats to rodents, reptiles, amphibians, tarantulas, birds, and fish. I have been in veterinary medicine since I was 15 years old and truly love the human-animal bond, both between people and their pets, and between us at the vet and our patients.
I am a Fear Free Certified Professional with a special interest in companion animal behaviour and positive reinforcement dog training. I am a strong advocate for making the vet a less scary place for pets.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in nature with my dogs or training with them. Vinny is my rescue Cane Corso and my “heart dog.” Vito is my sweet, charismatic little Italian Greyhound who is loved by everyone he graces with his presence. Besides dogs, I love to read good books, eat tasty food, and spend time with friends and family.
